Hall of Fame For Volunteers of Distinction Announcement
The Markham Soccer Club is now in its 36th year. The Hall of Fame is intended to honor the volunteers who have made a significant contribution to the Club and to the community through their work on behalf of this Club. The Hall of Fame will provide a permanent visible recognition of that contribution.
Here are a few details about the Hall of Fame and the nomination and selection processes:
There are three categories of inductees: Builders, Teams of Distinction and Sponsors.
In the case of Builders and Sponsors, they must have contributed to the Club for a period of at least ten years.
The nomination form can be found below.
Anyone may nominate a person / organization / team that meets the Selection Criteria. We encourage everyone to submit nominations for worthy candidates who deserve such recognition. Nominations forms can be sent to halloffame@markhamsoccer.org or they can be dropped at the Club.
The next induction ceremony will take place in the fall.

Selection Criteria
Builder
Those who have personally contributed their time and service over an extensive period of time to the growth and development of the Markham Soccer Club and, who, through that service have brought honour and distinction to the club and to the soccer community of Markham.
Nominee must have contributed significantly to the club for not less than ten years continuously in coaching or administration, or a combination of both.
Teams of Distinction
Teams who have, through their efforts on the soccer field, brought significant distinction to the Markham Soccer Club.
Nominees must have represented the club in an exemplary fashion and have achieved a level of distinction through their efforts on the soccer field. Teams may also qualify who led by example and who opened opportunities for other Markham teams to follow.
Sponsor
Those sponsors who through their continuous generosity and support have enabled the club to provide a service to the soccer playing community of Markham.
Nominees must have sponsored continuously in the Markham Soccer Club for a period of not less than ten years.
Note: Neither the Chairman or any member of the Selections Committee shall be eligible for induction during their period of service on this committee.
